Sorry ’bout it!

When we get together to talk about Pacific Islander (P.I.) philanthropy work, people like me take up valuable hours debating Jean-Luc Picard vs. James Tiberius Kirk on time-sucking tangents. As it turns out, I’m not alone on these rants. Many of us self-proclaimed P.I. intellects are admitting to a love of Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly/Serenity, and Lost. The same passion is apparent with film series such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Underworld, James Cameron’s Avatar, the Matrix, and Batman (both Nolan and Burton versions) to name a very small few.

Not to be outdone by film and television, our name, GameFob, stems from a large community of P.I. gamers that have respective loyalties to Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and even Atari (for all of you old fogies!). I’ve been a hardcore gamer since the NES era of the late 80’s and I haven’t grown up ever since. Our collective ‘geekiness’ will cover your literary and comic book needs, as well as new tech, so I can have an excuse to talk about my 2000-and-late iPad.

Ladies, gents, and hybrid geeks, follow our coverage of the different realms of ‘geekdom’ – while we kick it P.I. style. It’s our hope that we can all connect, not just on our individual tangents, but officially on this wacky ride we call GameFob.
