FAN-CAST: If I Cast An Aquaman Movie

Here’s me giving the few Aquaman fans more false hope. This is my humble, but accurate opinion of what I think the cast should look like:

Philip Winchester – Aquaman – Arthur Curry “Orin”

There’s a lot of internet talk of Alan Ritchson, better known as Thad Castle to reprise his role of Aquaman after his stint with Smallville or even Justin Hartley to once again surface from the deep to save his failed casted role. Regardless of all that talk, I think Philip Winchester fits just right. Look at the New 52 Aquaman and Richston, it fits.

Deberah Ann Woll – Mera

Amy Adams is cute and all, but 1. she’s playing Lois Lane in Zach Snyder’s Man of Steel and 2. I don’t think she’s bad-ass enough to be Mera. Mera kicked zombie ass in Blackest Night and although Amy Adams handled her own in Night at the Museum playing Amelia Erhart, Deborah Ann Woll is the gal for this role. She kicks ass as the vampire spawn of Bill on True Blood and she’s just really really really hot.

Common – Cal Durham

Common has a chance to do what Mos Def has done, by being an amazing R&B/Hip Hop artists turn quality actor. Playing the serious role of Cal Durham, one time Black Manta right hand man turned Aquaman ally.

Idris Elba – Black Manta

Black Manta meet the next biggest black action actor to hit the screen. This is a no brainer. You hear me Warner Bros., make this happen!

Gerard Butler – Ocean Master

Orm, brother to Orin aka Arthur Curry, is one sneaky jealous bastard. You need someone mischievous and nonchalant to play this character. Someone who will do anything to achieve his inner most desire, which he feels is his initial birth right to be king of Atlantis. Ever watch Law Abiding Citizen? Yeah.
